Of course, when I featured the beautiful Chanel Iman in our illustrious group of Unconventional Muses, I couldn't let much time go by without acknowledging her namesake. There really isn't much that has to be said to convince you of Iman's rightful place at the top of this haute heap.

Monday's {Unconventional} Muse

Chanel Iman

Completely love this fresh-faced-not-so-new-on-the-scene model.

I mean really, what's not to love? Beautiful. Photogenic. Bubbly. Sweet, kind, and pretty. What more do you want in a girl? I've written about her many times before (like here), but absolutely had to feature this beauty in our Monday's Unconventional Muse post. She's kind of like the jack of all trades when it comes to modeling.

...a sexy throwback, like on Louis Vuitton's runway...

...the girl about town hangin' with her gorgeous friends, like The Original Iman...

As in Victoria's Secret, of course. Check her out in their must-watch runway show happening November 30th, 10pm on CBS. As always, it's sure to be worth the wait. And I'm confident that Chanel Iman will reign supreme.

Beat The Heat

With the weather being down right steamy in most parts of the country, it can get kind of tricky to keep summer hair cute and polished. My go-to look for beating summer heat is some version of the all-traditional bun.

...Zoe's classic look is always a tried and true winner...

...The newest version though, the top knot, is probably my fav...

(So cute!)

...Of course, "messy" always works well too

(especially when smothered in humidity)...

Recently though, I came across this pic of Christina Milian looking so bright, colorful and cheery. This low bun at the nape of her neck with the side-swept bang has been my personal go-to look forever.

I couldn't help but notice the similarity to the hairstyle in one of my head shots (seen above).

Then I couldn't help but notice the beautiful cover of Essence magazine's September issue. Naomi, Liya and The Legendary Iman are always stunners, but Iman just happens to be donning my go-to look as well. I must say it feels good to be in such great company! Tell me, what's your favorite go-to summer style?

All this fabulousness in one room is almost too much to bear...this flawless pair was spotted at the Important Dinner for Women. Naomi Campbell wears Azzedine and Iman in Lela Rose. Other beauties at the event included Liya Kebede and entertainment mogul, Tyra.
