Golden Girls

I'm livin' my life like it's golden
Livin' my life like it's golden
Livin' my life like it's golden, golden,
Livin' my life like it's golden
Livin' my life like it's golden, golden

Golden by Jill Scott is one of my favorite tunes and reminds me to treasure everyday...

Oscar de la Renta

Diane von Furstenberg
Badgley Mischka
Tibi

That sentiment must have been on the minds of some of falls most celebrated designers. How about you? Are you living your life like it's golden?

I'm Thinking About...

...Zebras!...

So cute, right? Well, I'm actually thinking about zebra prints. Something about those graphic black & white {or even better - tan} stripes makes it all so interesting. Although the trench above in this beautiful photo is really quite lovely, the look head-to-toe may not be the most desired.
Instead, I've pulled a few options that will give you the look in a more subtle, but all the more stunning, kind of way.

Sonya Rykiel dress. Love!

Diane Von Furstenburg dress.

Alice by Temperley tank.

Emilio Pucci dress. Gorgeous.

Let these pieces move you to take inspiration from these adorable animals. Add the look into your spring wardrobe or visit your local zoo when the weather warms up in your area.
Happy shopping. Happy watching!

Carla

Falling for Fall

NYFW is, as expected, delivering on the stylish dreams of true lovers of all-things-fashion, everywhere. It's been quite difficult to edit; however, here's a partial list of what's been making my heart go pitter-patter...

...feathered effects...
Vera Wang
Chado Ralph Rucci
Catherine Malandrino
...cozy neutral-colored frocks...
Tracy Reese
Nanette Lepore
...pretty little black, sparkly, textured skirts and dresses...

...and, cool new ways to "wear the pants"...

It's enough to make me almost wish the cold weather would return again next season to South Florida. *Note: "almost" as the operative word here. I figure I can always wear any of these looks with our version of winter (you know, a frigid 50 degrees). I know, I get it - 'so wimpy', but hey, I do live in sunny South Florida! I'm a true warm-weathered girl - what do you expect?
Tell me what looks you're loving so far & can't wait to get your fashionable fingers on...

L.P.S.,
Carla
