A.L.T. Joins America's Next Top Model

André Leon Talley will replace Miss J. Alexander, for America’s Next Top Model Season 14 according to Women's Wear Daily. Tyra Banks had asked him to join at the start of series, but he wanted to wait until the show was more established and now feels he can "contribute something to it that had not been on the show."

"André speaks about fashion and he has such a passion, and the words — the adverbs, the adjectives — he uses! I know it’s going to make the viewer at home go, ‘Wowww,’” said Banks, “It might go over their head, but he’s educating them about a time, bringing them back to a place when fashion was life.”

An icon of the fashion industry, Talley joined Vogue in 1983 as fashion news director and served as creative director from 1988 to 1995. He returned to Vogue in 1998 as editor-at-large and credits his grandmother and the legendary Diana Vreeland for his appreciation for luxury.

I for one will be hanging on to Talley’s every eloquent, luxury drenched word - with a fashion glossary in hand of course.

The new season premieres on March 10. And don't fear - Miss J will continue as the shows runway coach extroadinaire.
